Can i take my pants off as a state-based action during the declare blockers step in order to block a creature with denimwalk?

You can, however, remove them between games. But you'll have to put them back on between matches.

BTW, this is the best question ever.

Rass

Why can't you just remove them in response to it being summoned

Magic doesn't cover clothes removal in the rules. (At least normal magic...) There's no mana cost, no trigger, ect. As a thing that isn't covered most would say it's unsportsmanlike. However you're dropping your pants it could swing either way. Has anybody checked the rulings for the card?

i feel like it depends on whos dropping their pants. fat smelly old guy = unsportmanlike. someone else = reasonable.

Yes you can respond but they can still counter your action or even exile your pants from the game this leaving you pantless hope you brought a spare pair!!

I wanna see somebody's pants get exiled. That'd be hilarious.

Lol.
"Move to attack step."
"In response, I take off my pants, pass priority."
"In response, {Stifle} the removal of the pants."

For some reason I thought this would be a question about Auras, commonly referred to as pants, but I guess not....

DrainCleaner

I'd think it would be a special action that doesn't use the stack, like morph.

....we're joking.....it's an un-card. The very definition of un-card is, "doesn't work in black border".

Well aware, good sir.

Pants interact as interruptions

blackychan1

Maybe you can do it in a "split second"?

I'm going to agree that the removal of pants is a special action. Mostly because there is no other game interaction with the pants.

Falcon182

Good thing magic players are most commonly seen in sweat pants!!

This card will be especially powerful in Canada! ;-)
