I figured i share a tie breaker game ending that i played against sky shadow


Declared {kalonian hydra} as attacker going from 8/8 to 16/16
Trigger {Xenagos god of revels} on him and before it resolved bestowed {boon satyr} making him 40/38

Swung

Sky declared {boros reckoner} as blocker
Responded to block with {boros charm} indestructible

So amazing

His next draw wouldve been another charm
Mine would've been {domri rade}

But doesn't it stil only assign 3 damage to the reckoner and 37 to him? Who won?

Trample only has to assign would-be Lethal damage.  It doesn't care if the creature is indestructible or has protection.  Only that the damage would kill the creature, ignoring everything else.

I think that the damage that the reckoner takes must first resolve for it gets to deal the damage back...

On Wednesday, we had a game happen where I killed one player, but the other two held me off JUST long enough to actually blow us out by sacrificing {Bearer of the Heavens} and blinking his team with {Legion's Initiative}.  Didn't see it coming at all.

Hey just want to mention, with the original post with xenagod and kalonian hydra. the way {xenagos, god of revels} works is when you first go to combat, before you declare any attackers, you target a creature and double its power, since it says "at the beginning of combat". Then you can swing with {kalonian hydra} and double its counters. just a heads up.
