The way i look at it
You buy the cards that get passed to you. That's the reason why my lgs charges $11 for a draft. So if you pass a $70 card up there youre out of money.

well if thats the agreement you get into with your lgs, then sure you should take the 70 dollar card. but id rather participate in a draft where people are trying to build the best deck possible, and earning the most expensive cards by winning instead of just sheer luck of cracking the good pack.

TreeSmoker

Eh. They give 3 packs to first 2 to second 1 to third and 1 to 8th
So i guess they make it worth the 11

Ahh yes we keep picks. I've never drafted in that alternative way. Nor heard of it.

the idea behind it is says its pack three, you open a pack with a 20 dollar card not in your colors and a bomb in your colors.  if your playing for picks you will be more likely to pick the on color bomb and build a better deck than just grab the value and have less playables.

Interesting. I don't know how I feel about that. When MMA was released I went to a draft and pulled a {Vendilion Clique}. Naturally, I kept it and never played it. Say we were doin the alternative draft, I'd have passed it, but then what happens if I either don't win, or some ass plays without sleeves and damages it, or something alon that lines?  Then I'm just out that $70 card. I don't think I'd like drafting like that...

You're not out the clique because it was never yours in the first place

^ was this disrespectful in some way? Why was i negged?

Huh. I didn't think it was disrespectful. I kinda agreed with you haha. Someone apparently had a different idea.

MuggyWuggy

Wasn't me, I still would rather play keeps than picks
