I know I am going to proxy each tier 1 modern deck for sure. Are there tier 1 commander decks?

Ptsgpbk

cards which people like me need which are basically over $20

Well I will be making fetches and planeswalkers, and power nine. And staples.

Do people have specific card suggestions besides fetches and power nine??

Safest way to proxy is to make your proxies obviously fake... Black and white or no card backing, etc.

How did they get busted?
And I see proxies for sale on eBay daily..

If you ever make Proxies, never sell them.  At most, trade them or give them away, but selling them both seems stupid and is kinda illegal, I'd assume due to intellectual property laws.  I've made several different kinds of proxies (Foil, Nonfoil, Blanks, etc.) for different purposes and they all came out differently.

Of course, the easiest way to proxy a card is just to take a sharpie and write on the back of another card...

And it's totally doable!  If people are interested enough, I could write up a post on the ways I craft my proxies.  For reference, here's ones that I have on-hand (and different types of Proxies, in general), from a recent Vintage tournament, as well as from an EDH deck I own (and a crap-proxy Temple Garden because somehow I didn't have an extra one sitting around.
