How come you might quit?

I hate how you have to always keep up with what's latest when or if you want to play standard.

That's why they make other formats....limited, modern, legacy, and the best of all EDH.  Get I to EDH and you won't have to worry about keeping up with standard and you won't have to spend as much (unless you ball out with all foils )

Original dual lands, fetch lands, mana crypt...

In addition to what the previous two said, it's also a one time purchase, not every year buying new stuff...and with 1-2 color decks, it's definitely not a requirement

yeah, definitely stick to 1-2 color decks- don't be like me and play 4c kiki-pod on a limited budget- it's not going to end well, as it's much better to play full versions of cheap decks than gutted versions of expensive decks- you'll lose much more that way.

That's the catch of standard and why I sold almost all my cards except for two edh decks and some cards that had meaning to me over a year ago. You can still play modern and edh and have fun.

I got out of standard right away.. I went modern and edh. I do modern mill and edh for fun
