Long load time on card database

Since moving to imtg 2, I'm finding that the card database is loading VERY slowly for me. Anything I should know for optimizing performance? I don't keep stuff running in background on my iPad, so I don't think it's my device.

This happens with me, too, and a few other people. Last time it was brought up Piotr blew it off with something like "Your devices aren't fully updated, then."

I like it this way. After the initial load of database from disk to memory, I can scroll through all MTG cards ever, +- 3 weeks

If the design is intentional, then what was the point of asking for my device info?

Because it was designed for my iPhone 5, and knowing your device gives me indication if it works slower or faster than for me

Could you load the database into memory upon app launch or maybe half the database on launch. Launch would take a bit longer but when you go into it it wouldn't take as long because it's either already loaded into memory.
