Was there anyone being harmed by karma being public knowledge?
It seems a bit silly to install a cap if there was no one complaining.
I was just wondering if there was a victim that complained and that's why the modification was made.

And if it isn't my place to ask just let me know.

I think it's funny that the majority of everyone's general opinion on karma (at least when they would explain it to newer people complaining about getting negative karma) was that it didn't matter.. then Piotr makes a change to how karma is displayed (probably to grind people's gears, but who knows what he's thinking) and all of a sudden everyone is up in arms. Just stop fueling the drama. These back and forth arguments between Piotr and the community are just getting old now. I've basically been ignoring his existence since I've joined iMTG and literally nothing he has said or done has had any impact on me.

It's not a big deal. It's an expirement. If it works, he'll keep it. If not, it's gonna go away.

I just wanted to know

It is said that it is to stop karma seeking, but what does karma seeking matter?

I would say simplify the question. "What does karma matter?"

Maby it's just because people don't like change?

I agree with Taysby. From my experiences, the majority of people, especially American people, get complacent with what they have. They get used to have they have. They do not like change. Once change happens, especially if it's suddenly and against their will, their feelings get hurt. They don't want to adapt, mainly because it changes things. It is the unknown. People do not like the unknown. If you do not like the change that is instituted thus far, then voice your opinion. But do it in a respectful manner. No name calling, no slandering, no lies. I would not like to see another split on this forum.

My only problem is the way he did it. Not why, or how. I do think after 100 karma it really doesn't matter. But if there is one thing I learned since my time here is that there is a group of people who will take every opportunity to argue with Piotr and this seems to be another case of not having a strong argument other than "it's different, and I don't like it. Piotr is a dictator!"

Just so you know, I love all humans, but I hate some of the things they do.

I hate it when the karma system is making it easier for the mobs to form, for mob mentality is the opposite of empathy. I love empathy, the art of feeling other people's point of view.

I hope it answers your question :)

It seems pretty tight actually, sure we don't love taysby's weird schemes and conservative ideas, but we do love taysby. The mod community is very active and very aware of users behavior.
The trade community is very active and grows constantly with new members. Many of which who continue to trade with ease with one another.

particle

this is not that related, but what is the percentage number next to karma?

MuggyWuggy

Your karma percentage to your post. If you had 100%, you would have as many likes as your posts,

Honestly, I have not noticed a difference in karma from then and now. To me, karma is just "likes." Why does it matter? I have no use for it.

Some people like to use this number to determine trades
