So leave it so more theft is bound to happen?  Seems good.  :P
It's called middle man and making them send first if not trusted
As Piotr has said many times

None sent?
No victim no crime

If the person doesn't like it, they don't have to use the trade system.
Maby a forum for people who did it, and one for people who didn't, so that way, the people who wanted protection could have it, and the people who didn't care could use the other one?
that would be time consuming on iMTG employee ends
And too much monitoring
So neither of these ideas would work unfortunately

Haha you'll never stop it.  Try as you will, people will find workarounds. Short of holding them at gunpoint until you get your cards, it'll still be a risk. Just use what's at your disposal (middleman, tracking). If they refuse, nix the trade. Purty simple.  Giving my debit card number out?  No thanks.  😉

Kaworu, the Fifth Child

Kuberr had several trusted trades, though mlerner and slender never actually stole cards. They just took way too long, lied, and were jackasses.

Greed affects people differently
You can be trusted then all of a sudden want that one card
Have them send first and never send or lie

If you dont feel comfortable with it
Just dont do it

Simple as that
Not trying to rain on your parade
But the cc and dc ideas are privacy protected and 2 different trade forums is too much work.

Beware next trader that trades with me. I want 1) Blood Sample
2) Urine Sample in which llama will gladly test
3) Hair Sample and yes I will test for Mary Jane
4) Your right testicle unless your a female and then..... Well I guess your off the hook.

No serious it sounds good but you'll lose more traders than gain due to several reason. Age, don't have one, don't trust site, etc....
would you take the left one instead?

I'd like to refer back to the part of the trade rules that states not to trade what you can't afford to lose. We know that it is a risk trading online. It has been stated so many times. And piotr's already said that there's not much he can/will do....

But if there's a way to fix a problem, why not try and solve it?
Because by fixing the problem your way you cause other problems.

People sure are acting like douche bags on here lately. Taysby is simply trying to find a way of making it safer for people to trade on here. I agree his idea won't work in practicality, but is it REALLY such a HORRIBLE idea? I get what your saying Taysby, the problem is that we are then entrusting our financial livelihood to a single mans computer. Look at all the computer hacks that have led to credit info stolen (target, hannafords, Sony, need I add more?). What makes us think that it'll be safe in piotr's laptop? Just don't know why there is so much damn animosity with everyone lately. Let's be a family again. It seems like one person jumps on someone and there is always 6 more ready to kick him in the nuts (or no nuts in the case of sparkle). Idk, maybe it's just me. <end rant>

If credit cards were required, many trusted trader and a few veteran traders, like myself, wouldn't trade here. I don't have a credit card. A lot of people don't have credit cards.

I agree man, I wouldn't either (both of my trades so far). It literally does come down to simply, don't ship something you can't afford to lose. If you need rock solid trades, you gotta do it in person. There will always be risk in shipping cards to someone, ALWAYS.

Or debit card, or paypal.  Just making sure my system was understood.

There are probably options for safe places to store credit card info.  Like paypal has my bank account number and access, yet it is perfectly safe.  I'm just trying to get ideas starting to flow to solve this issue.

And thanks for that, have a +1 for kindness.

I get what your saying, it could even be an optional thing where the person is classified as "insured", and insured person can trade with uninsured, but it's at your own risk. Or you can simply only trade with "insured" people. Completely voluntary, your simply known as a person that is willing to put his money in the line to prove his integrity.

So let's do nothing and have 5 thefts/problems in the next year instead of doing something and only having one theft/problem in the next year?

Listen man, I'm on your side. I agree with you, but it's hard to put it into reality, that's all. Just curious, how many actual thefts have we had that we know of? Yeah, a bunch of "it took too long to ship", but what about actual "your not
Gonna see your cards rot in hells"?

So this way you willbe in one forum by yourself, and the rest of us will continue our trading here

5 problems/thefts per year isn't a horrible
Number considering the number of members and trades that take place on here. In everything that has risk, it's inherent that there will be problems. You just need to be cautious. I've lost out on 2 $75 trades on here and still trade here. I accept the risk that it is and will only trade what I can afford to lose.  I'm here to support to community.

I definitely wouldn't give anyone my financial information. Paypal does have financial information but I guarantee that paypal is far superior as a company and far more organized and legally prepared to handle everything required for the financial stuff.

I think the bottom line is to deal with the members you fell comfortable with and only trade what you can afford.
