DylanW18

I was worried he 'd kill me.. I'm not sure it's worth it, with all the draw I already have

DylanW18

If DRS was still legal id be all over Bob, but I'm thinking the payout just isn't worth the pain

DylanW18

What would you say this kind of deck would be weak against ?

DeathlyFoiend

Delver is such a bad choice when you can go better with a midrange deck.

Dark Confidant
Scavenging Ooze
Vendilion Clique
Snapcaster
Courser of Kruphix
Tarmogoyf

These are the basis of a BUG Midrange deck that provides better support in the long run as opposed to BUG Delver.

And why Beleren?  He seems just bad....sure he is a 3 CMC PW but still....

I would also suggest 1 ofs filter lands.  Will help you cast those double mana colors and the hard to cast cryptic command in a tri-color deck

Although I enjoy that deck, I wanted to try to convert my Legacy Delver into Modern, I'm not really interested in midrange right now, but if this deck crashes and burns, I'll look deeper into midrange

Baby Jace is a good draw engine that comes out early in my eyes, but why do you say he's bad?

Well I can see the draw engine in a long game.  I just think modern as trying to kill quick....not as quick as legacy.  Just sinking 3 mana to draw a card a turn and give your opponent a card too unless you -1 him seems like a big investment for T3

DylanW18

I usually just -1 him 3 times and I move on, unless I have out Liliana, in which case sometimes I plus both, but only if my opponent has no cards in hand

I also agree that BUG makes a great midrange.  I ended up taking my moder BUG apart and making BG Rock.

I also think Delver is not the best for modern.....I think he is great in legacy but for some reason he does not fit modern as well.

Now having both those PW out and +1 both would be nice but that is a long shot.  IDK, I still just think that is a lot of mana and almost a wasted turn since you could spend tat mana to get a real threat out.  Again, just my opinion.....I love tough feedback on my competitive decks......so take it as a compliment ;)

I've never been to a modern tourney or FNM before, I didn't know that... Interesting

I still wanna try to make it as good as possible. I like to take something people don't use and see just how viable it is given the time of day

For sure I don't see it as any insults, I appreciate the feedback! The deck is still in Alpha, so anything goes really
