You do realize that our government has the ability to completely jump in and take over the economy in times of emergency? Also, our collapsed economy government could easily be rescued by going to war with China, just as it did in WWI and WWII, a war would make our economy boom.

We wouldn't be able to afford it.  We couldn't borrow money, because no one would trust us.  After all the currency would have just lost most of its value.

NATO would help us. The UN Security Council might step in, but they would have to get around China's veto power. We would not lose a war to China, if they attacked, even if we had to threaten to use nukes. Even the almighty America was afraid of going into Pakistan to get Bin Laden because Pakistan has nukes. If we were afraid of a country we could easily crush, don't you think China is afraid of us?

All they would do is revalue our currency and come in as our savior.  They would do nothing to declare war, or anything thing else.  And do you believe that NATO and the un would be able to get actual help to everyone who needs it in time, or would even want to, when we are just diving in a hole with no way out?

Seeing as China is Communist( I think) and NATO is an anti-communist organization they would help us
