Athreos in commander

I am attempting to build this guy in commander but I am tryin to stay away from good stuff builds. What mechanics and creatures would be good in this sort of deck? Looking specifically for creatures

Creatures that sacrifice themselves for an ability
Low-cost creatures + board wipe

Edit: I shouldn't try to remember card names when accuracy counts...

I am also building around him and yesterday tested a few games with him. Anything that sacrifices itself or sacrifices others (as mentioned above), and anything with strong enter/leave the battlefield abilities. I'll post some creatures that have shined while playing:

{Shriekmaw} (evoke is super powerful with atheros, "doom blade" something then say, would you like to pay 3 life or can I get my doom blade back?)

I would add in a {Sorin, Lord of Innistrad} as a potential walker for token generation/sac fodder.

For commander imo u want to use stuff that either fetches creatures and or creatures with built in sacrifice. {Ground Seal} might b a star there.

[Coffee Vampire]

{Tidehollow Skuller} and similar creatures (there are 2 other creatures of 2 cmc that have that effect). Very useful!
