So, I didn't know just how mean I could be while playing magic until my opponent drew a card, I immediatly activated {Corpse Traders} forcing him to discard {Trostani's Summoner}, Which, in our battlefield position, would probably have won him the game. He passed turn to me, so what do I do? {Rise from the grave}. He lost by a mile.

Did he draw a card during your main phase? Because  {Corpse Traders} ability is at sorcery speed

It is literally specified as a sorcery speed ability on {Corpse Traders}.
