When I exile something with {roon if the hidden realm} / {mistmeadow witch} on thier turn, then on my I use {sundial of the infinite} does that creature stay exiled indefinatly?

Sparkle Ninja

No. it states it returns during the next end step. so it would return on your turn

MisterJH

Yes it would actually, 'the next end step' exclusively refers to the nearest end step. Its a delayed trigger set to go off at the end of the current turn, which if ended prematurely causes the trigger to fizzle.

At least thats how ive been explained effects such as that

particle

no its whenever the endstep happens. it doesnt have to be that endstep, itll trigger when you get to any endstep if its still exiled. if you use {sundial of the infinite} in response to the trigger, however, it wont trigger again.

Yawgmoth85

So in order to keep the target exiled, as I understand it now I would gave to work it like this: roon/mistmeadow ability on "my" turn (being the the "next end step" would be my turn) and then sundial and it should remain exiled, is thus correct?

imFourth of Phils

yes, its like what im using in my deck {Flickerwisp}, {Glimmerpoint Stag}, {Mimic Vat} and {Geist Of Saint Traft}

since it says the beginning of your next end step, its still your turn, use {Sundial of the Infinite} to skip those steps and make then permanently exiled or stayed in battlefield

please correct me if im wrong specially im not good in english, thanks

Looks like I'll be throwing a Geist into the mix as well. Keepin those angel tokens is just to tempting to resist

Double-O-Scotch

Don't forget the angel token is exiled at end of combat, not end of turn. So don't wait till your 2nd main phase to "end the turn".

Arzair

{Sedris, the Traitor King} works with sundial as well

So sundial right at end of combat?

Im pretty sure nothing stops you from rooning during there turn to the same effect

Not sure if thats what you were saying but just in case

Edit: once again i didnt read all the effects of the involved cards, so ignore me and maybe send me mail about how much you hate me

The1337Magician

I don't know if this was clarified, but you can only  {Sundial of the Infinite} on your turn.

I'm just trying to figure my timing for {mistmeadow witch}/{roon of the hidden realm}, With {sundial of the infinite} only able to activate on my turn. If I wanted to exile the creature indefinatly do I flicker on thier turn or mine? I'm under the assumption that to accomplish this I would flicker the target on my turn

Remillo

The way this works is this:  the delayed trigger is set to go off once, and only once, at the beginning of the next end step to happen.  If you move to your End Step and put the return triggers on the stack, THEN end the turn, it will exile the triggers (so they never resolve and bring the creatures back) and leave the creatures in exile forever.
