Derevi combo suggestions?

So I'm using {derevi emperyial tactian} as a commander for my dream of a {stasis} style EDH. Already posted about it but here's my question, is there something I'm missing about the combo with {fiend hunter}? Or is it just when they try to destroy the hunter I just blink it out with {dead eye navigator} to avoid his demise? Also any one have personal fav combos with derevi? I'm tossing In a {master bio-mancer} for kicks and any suggestions would be cool al alternate win cons/increase the bold pressure of my opponents. I love stasis locking my opponents as the beg for death, but this happens less than I would like and am excited to try this strategy for bant.

Be sure to include these stasis-type cards:
{Stasis}
{Winter Orb}
{Static Orb}
{Rising Waters}
{Oppression}
{Hokori, Dust Drinker}
{Tangle Wire}

Those will help locking people down. Use {Seedborn Muse} and {Prophet of Kruphix} with these effects to take advantage of them. For {Stasis}, use {Sword of Feast and Famine}. Be sure to include a {Birthing Pod} package, because with Derevi you can get 2 pod activations a turn. Take advantage of ETB abilities. For instance, a good run of pod could be:
Sacrifice {Avacyn's Pilgrim} to get {Stoneforge Mystic} and fetch {Sword of Feast and Famine}.
Sacrifice mystic to get {Harmonic Sliver}
Sacrifice the sliver to get {Hokori, Dust Drinker}.
Now you have a lock going with a sword!
