Rooftop Storm in Commander

If I were to have a {Rooftop Storm} in play, and my commander is any of the legendary zombies, would I be able to play it for free? Would I only need to pay the extra mana per time my commander got killed? Or would it not affect my commander at all?

i believe there is an old thread about this with alternative costs etc and with a bunch of the old mods discussing their thoughts. ill try to bump it.

Thanks for the answer! Yeah, i have a zombie commander deck and I was wondering if it could be as broken as I thought.
Playing Thraximundar for free is nasty.

So the two addition colorless mana is considered a tax and not just more mana cost?

903.10.: A player may cast a commander he or she owns from the command zone. Doing so costs that player an additional {2} for each previous time he or she cast that commander from the command zone that game.

Ok this is the rule. So then from looking at this and {Rooftop Storm}'s ability I believe (So please don't hold me entirely accountable if I'm wrong) that the two is in addition to the mana cost allowing for your commander to be free. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.
