If I have a indestructible card in play, is it a legal target for a "destroy target" card?

You could essentially target your own indestructible creature with a heroic ability with doom blade, not pop Your creature and trigger its heroic 😸

Cool I'm building a modern land eat deck.  {Darksteel Citadel} and  {Bust} and then the sac lands. Should be fun.
