If you could bring one card that's legal in modern into standard, what would it be? This could be for mechanical reasons, or just for teh Lolz.

I would bring Theros {Back to Nature}, just to see the look on my opponents' face.

I want my fricking American flickers deck back, dammit! >.<

Can you imagine the heroic triggers/supreme verdict dodges

{couldshift} doesn't dodge {supreme verdict} though. Would be nice if it did.

{Vorapede}. Or {Thalia, Guardian of Thraben}.

Why wouldn't it dodge verdict ?

because you blink it in response to verdict, it resolves and the creature is back on the battlefield by the time verdict resolves.

I just want my foil {Vorapede} back in standard. Its so pretty

Hmm you couldn't do it in response to the effect of destroying the creatures vs in response to the card?

Nope: A spell/ability is on the stack, and once it resolves, all of its actions happen without any other chance to respond. If you cast {Cloudshift} in response, your creature will come back before the {supreme verdict} resolves.

{Sigarda, Host of Herons}. Why? Because my Selesnya Hexproof could use another beater....and she's amazing (currently my background).

{Vorapede} dodges Supreme Verdict...

{Lord of Atlantis}... only card in my modern deck not black-bordered... plus it needs some new artwork and I think it would fit in well with the Theros block...
