Ajani's pridemate and souls attendant

If I have a {Souls Attendant} on the field and I cast an {ajani's pridemate}, will it see the lifegain as it enters the battlefield?

This works. By the time the life gain trigger pride mate is already on the battlefield to see you gained any amount of life so he will get the counter

This works. By the time the life gain trigger pride mate is already on the battlefield to see you gained any amount of life so he will get the counter
