So yesterday a weather phenomenon appeared that I've never seen before in my 29 years on this earth. My dad, 65, has also never seen them.

SNOW ROLLERS! Apparently these little fellas appear very rarely. When the snow consistency is just right (very light but with a little ice and perfect packing consistency) and winds get very high, pieces of snow roll THEMSELVES and gather along the ground, rolling these little hollow snowman logs! They appeared all over central Ohio and western Pennsylvania yesterday. The above picture is out my window - you can see the path it took, starting hopping with a piece of ice and picking up more as it started to roll!

Here's a close up (not my pic, it's too friggen cold to go outside lol)

Pretty neat! In open areas, like the golf courses, they are everywhere, by the hundreds!

Living in Arizona is wonderful. A beautiful 75 degrees.

It has it's advantages. Oh and the hiking the mountains are amazing!

You crazy son, 100+ degrees, you can only take off so much clothing.  However, below 0 just means add a couple of layers.  Worst case scenario is, *a Christmas story* "I can't put my arms down!!!"
