Bans/Unbans

Wizards will be announcing new bans/unbans on February 3rd. The announcement will be for all formats, but I think ban as unbans in modern format will be most likely. What do you speculate will be lifted from ban or added to the list? The current modern banned list is as follows:

Just tossing this out there but do you think they will make a restricted list for modern. Where you can only have one of these cards. If it works for legacy why not modern.

This is why I don't play modern. All the fun cards are banned. Haha

Hardly. The pool is still so large that it doesn't really effect much. Just don't Netdeck! Haha. I do always get a little worried around this time of year, but I'm hoping for some sweet unbans to be honest. I still think Jace deserves a shot in this format, even if only for a year.

Modern unbanned: {Wild Nacatl} to help give Aggro /zoo a boost


Modern Banned: None (with a PT so close I don't think they'll be THAT cruel but who knows)

Other formats: no changes

People are speculating the unbanning of {Bitterblossom} but that will only fuel B/G decks that are already fairly strong, but who knows.

ancestral vision  and GGT might be, though.

If the right cards are unbanned, I may make the shift into modern. Legacy is dead here, standard sucks, and modern is gaining traction at my LGS.

Maybe jace? They have more PW kill spells now, and sure he's nasty, but in EDH games where he comes up often he's quickly disposed of.

I don't know- Nacatl would probably force all zoo to be naya, but GGT is a definite possibility, grave hate has come a long way since then.

I sure am fond of my grave-trolls, {dread return}s, {ponder}s, and {dark depths}. I would go dredge if the appropriate cards were unbanned.

Yeah!  Unban the troll!
Please don't ban any urza tron stuff.  Please.  Please!  I don't want to have to switch decks...

I think the urza stuff is all very safe, some are speculating a Deathrite ban, but I don't see b/g dominating top 8's like in the pre-BBE banning days

Any standard bannings? Also, my LGS has been speculating the banning of Bolt. I doubt it tho.
