Power's out.

I woke up this morning and the power in my apartment complex was out, so I'm wrapped up in two blankets next to a window and reading Neuromancer by William Gibson. What does everyone do when your power goes out? Play Magic? Sort cards? Play board games? Sit around and tell ghost stories by flashlight if it's dark out?

I usually either just go sleep, go outside for a walk, or read by candlelight. our transformer explodes at least thrice a year.

That's a hard one I've been lucky and it never happened to me for more then a few minutes or until I could get to the breaker box. I would go to a friend/family members house.

I tried to go back to sleep but I'm an early riser anyway. With no noise (the heater) to sooth me, going back to sleep wasnt happening.

We went to eat at IHOP and it was on when we got back.

People sleep?  I've heard of that.  It sounds so full.  Unless you could lucid dream.

Speaking of which, supposedly someone's releasing a product soon that reads brainwaves and when you hit rem sleep it flashes some lights so you can become aware that you're dreaming and can control your dreams.  Seems fine right?  Until you realize how addicting it can be.  X rated dreams is just one of the many possibilities.  I've had dreams where I'm magically flying and those dreams are amazing.  All I'd want to do is sleep if I had one of those.  That could possibly be a very dangerous product...

I tried lucid dreaming via the 40 minute alarm method. After one day of it, I got annoyed and stopped.

Were you able to actually lucid dream?  Or did it not work?

I didn't try. I got annoyed with an alarm going off every 40 minutes and stopped after the first day.

I play Magic, generally. I know that one time my friend and I took a trip out of town to pick up some packs so we could do our own draft. Worked out well since he got a {Geist of Saint Traft} and I got a {Snapcaster Mage}. His was better at the time since we were still in Geist's heyday.
