I'm fairly new to magic and I'm tired of mono blue and mono black don't get me wrong it's fun to play against but the outcome is generally the same. I run basically a ww deck with a splash of red I was wondering what would be a good side board I could throw in when I go against mono blue control I do fairly well against mono black. I just just struggle with getting past all those enchantments and instants.

My suggestion is to post your deck in the format you are playing. This will allow people to see what your working with and suggest what might work.

Against Mono Blue you need to disrupt their strategy which is Thassa and MoW. Idk if you play {Chained to The Rocks} but it's always a good card against mono Blue bc it kills their Thassa, MoW, Specter, etc. also just direct burn can help. You playing White Weenies means that you can race MonoBlue so add things like {Lightning Strike} {Magma Jet} etc. stuff that can kill a creature OR a deal damage to them

Against MonoBlack ... Good Luck it's a great deck period! But it's slow side in Protection like {Brave the Elements} {Gods Willing} maybe even {Boros Charm} so they can't target your stuff with their removal! Lastly kill the effing {Pack Rat} as soon as it enters the battlefield!!!

Lastly look at what they play if they are always leaving 3 mana open they are probably going to have a {Heros Downfall} in hand so be like {Norin the wary} and be careful!! Lol

A lot of people have forgotten about  {Ratchet Bomb}. It's the best token removal out there.

Kaleo42

4 {mistcutter}, 4 {gruul charm}, and 2 {skylasher} beats mono blue.

Mono black loses to {garruk caller of beasts} and/or {sphinxes revelation}.

This is what my team has found out as a general guideline. Of course modifying your deck to beat them is a different story.

I think it's easy too find a deck which is good against either mono black or mono blue!
But a deck that fights both is very difficult!
I think the best decks to fight them are esper midrange and orzhov control.
Esper midrange has  {Detention Sphere} for {pack rat} and thassa. Also it has good removal for {Desecration Demon} and {Master of Waves} {Master of Waves}.
Orzhov control has thoughtseize against thassa and {pack rat}. It has also good removal. Blood baron is always gg against black when it resolves!

Antirayman

It was mentioned before but {Brave the Elements} should be good enough to beat those decks with white weenie! You could splash black for {Xathrid Necromancer} and some good removal {orzhov charm} , {doom blade}, {dark betrayal}

Thanks for the advice. Also my deck format is 4boros charm 4soldier of the pantheon 4madcap skills 2temple of triumph 9mountains 9plains 3boros guildgate (which I'm gonna replace with shock lands soon) 2lightening strikes 1mizzium mortars 2dryad militants 1fiendslayer paladin 3banisher priests 2spear of Heliod 2boros elite and 2 daring skyjek 4brave the elements. But my issue isn't really there monsters. It's there spells/plains walkers. I can deal some damage up until turn 4 with mono blue then it's just return attacking creature to oppentants hand or destroy attacking monster or neglect and it's like an on going battle of that. Any spell I play gets countered and same with monsters. Is there an enchantment like leyline of sanctity? I feel as if I can get hexproof going for atleast 6turns then I can use my boros charms and madcap skills and take them out fast. In all honesty I don't bad against mono black I have around a 70% chance if winning with it kuz I take out the rats ASAP and brave the elements saves me. But my main thing is my deck isn't working against mono blue I'm looking for a side board I can throw in and completely change my deck you know ?

White and red are getting Spells that target and kill or greatly damage planeswalkers

Yes I agree. Lightening strike and mizzmium mortars are a must for the side board but I was also thinking solemn offering also in the side board to counter enchantments and give a nice life boost.

Mizzium mortars and lightning strike are must haves for the main board in my opinion :) the spells for killing/damaging planeswalkers muggwuggy was talking about are {fated conflagration} and {fated retribution}

Such high drop cards but they deff are a lot better then using my other enchants. Should I run a full set in the side board ?

As a player that has been through both decks, i can say for sure that hardcore removal is the way to go.

Doesnt even matter what they put down you need to kill it as fast as possible. Even a lowly frostburn weird can win the game.

Removal removal removal, all i can say.
