Maybe I'm crazy

Maybe just maybe.

In a world riddled with the {anger of gods}
{Supreme verdicts} and whatnot

Indestructible creatures seem ever so appealing!

If you can flash creatures in, ephara is really kinda nice to!

Working on a triple god deck right now! I think ill run two of each. Riddle it with aggro and stall spells.

Then booooom

What I'm thinking thus far

{Heliod, god of the sun} x 2
{thassa, god of the sea} x 2
{Ephara, god of the polis} x 2
{judge's familiar} x 4
{Soldier of the panthenon} x 4
{Precinct captain} x 4
{Deputy of acquittals} x 4
{Brimaz, king of oreskos} x 2

^(or {daxos of meletis} or {boros wrekface})

Not creatures
{Brave the elements} x 4
{Dissolve} x 4
{Sphinxes's revelation} x 4
{Detention sphere} x 4

{Hallowed fountain} x 4
{Azorious guildgate} x 4
{Temple of enlightenment} x 4
{nykthos, shrine to nyx} x 4
{Plains} x 2
{Island} x 2

Kaleo just tell me I'm bad at magic.

DirtyMustachio

I realllly wanna fit that square peg in a round hole!

I worked on my version of this more, and I think white weenie with a splash of blue for better late game is the way to go. My list is UW agro in standard section.

Kaleo42

Bad at magic? No.

New to competitive deck building? Clearly.

You have landed inbetween two conflicting ideas that havent and may not mix well. I recommend working backwards for this idea. Start with how the game state looks when you win, whats in play, whats in your hand, whats in the gravyards, and most importantly what turn is it. Once you have a clear image of that winning turn work backwards to make a list that can do that.

Vileo

That's an incredible insight to deckbuilding. Why haven't I heard that before? +1.

Kaleo42

Search on youtube "patrick chapin magic cruise." He may not be the top pro these days but I believe it is more than safe to say he knows more about deck building than anyone else and more importantly has a passion for sharing his knowledge. He has two books out I havnet read the newer one yet but Next Level Magic is amazing.

Does that work with less linear decks? I mean, obviously an aggro deck or a combo deck can do that, but can a control deck or something like Pod really use that?
Not always thats why he talks about four different approaches to deck building.

I hope you can definitely use deputy of acquittal

I just love that card for some strange reason and control colors aren't even ones I use!

DylanW18

If you're interested in Flash, bant seems best for {Prophet of Kruphix}?

DirtyMustachio

The flash is really only fun if your doing it because ephara is there for another card draw. Of course Heliods pump does that to. Its just nice that he does. You can easily get free block and recurr by going between {faerie imposter} and {deputy of aquittals} just didn't want to make that the theme.
