Control I would assume.  No Gary's will go uncountered, and board wiped for those stupid pack rats.

Garys can be returned with {whip of erebos}. I don't know if they (mono black players) play it, but just a thought. Maybe mono-blue has a good matchup? Creatures unblockable with thassa? I don't know really, as I don't play a ton of standard.

Garys can be whipped, but if you board wipe their creatures they are only hitting you for 4 (2 on Gary and 2 on Whip), which is easy to recover from.

True that Taysby and thanks guys now obviously Monoblack isn't overpowered but it is such a dominating deck like 90%* of the people at the last SCG event played it (slight exaggeration* lol) but still do you think that we could see a ban of some kind?

20 swamps
T3 9/9 flying trample (possibly)
Sire is to avoid opponent having solutions
Endless apostles allow for endless Merchant shenanigans
And well demigod is just a filler card. Wasn't sure what else to put.
Although. 4 demigod in play is 20 devotion at one time.


Oh and my suggestion to avoid Gary the shiester of Asphodel?

Control is best against MBD. {Pack Rat} is a joke to control, because you run {Detention Sphere} and {Supreme Verdict}. {Cyclonic Rift} too.devotion decka need a board state to win, so a deck with boardwipes will beat it.
