😮
Awesome, for that price there will be some sweet staples

Coffee Vampire

What modern deck costs 74 bucks?? That's like...the price of 1 Bob.

For that price, are we going to see like, a fetch or something?  Unless you're running rdw, that's a couple hundred off of basically all modern decks.

Shadridium

There's nothing wrong with goblins.

Keep in mind that MSRP is only suggested, and that MSRP for FTV:20 was $39.99, despite the value of the cards in it well exceeding that price.

One archetype that would seem like a good fit (this is speculation, nothing more) for this kind of thing would be a Pod deck. Because it runs so many 1-of's, they could sprinkle in some staples like a fetch or two,  {Grove of the Burnwillows},  {Chord of Calling}, etc.

I'm personally interested in the archetype they choose not because of the cards that could be reprinted, but because it gives us an opportunity to get a more clear idea of what Wotc envisions modern to look like as a format/deck.

Definitely agree/excited. I think we will see multifilament staples that overlap with legacy and modern (grove, like you suggested) 1 fetch is plausible.

I just want it for the spindown life counter!! Lol

Also couldn't it be soul sisters? That's a cheap deck isn't it?

InfinitiveDivinity

Definitely gonna have to pick one of these up. Wizards has been good to Modern player s recently, I doubt this thing will be less than stellar.

rarehuntertay

Since its an event deck, that means LGS only then... Right?

Kaleo42

It will likely be an easy to understand deck as these are meant for people knew to the format. Soul sisters seems possible but favors only a small percentage of the community. Pod is also possible but not the combo version. Strorm, rock, american control, and eggs we can rule out completely. Merfolk seems likely and doesnt anger a great deal of people by hitting the market prices too hard. We could get elves or goblins I spose but hope not on both. Honestly though the most likely deck I believe it to be, Afinity. It's simple, aggressive, doesn't favor one part of the player base too much, and is on adverage a adverage priced deck to build.

Keep in mind if we get fetches in this product it will likely be at max two and other semi money cards will be one or two ofs. That being said I would love to see this product have one of each fethcland for some sort of weird landfall deck that hints at zendikar's return but i doubt it.
