I made some real looking proxies for casual play, and I'm really pleased with them . They are obviously fake when you feel them, and they are a bit blurry, but really look pretty dang good. Plus they are all foil ;)

If people can tell me how to attach an image from my phone here, I can show the best ones that came out

DylanW18

Bump if anyone is interested in seeing :)

The bad ones

Teferi and bribery have gashes, flooded strand has a spot missing and mana crypts picture was already foiled so after doing the proxy process it looks really fake

How'd you make them foil? I make proxies all the time. I just normally print them out on computer paper and slip it in front of a plains.

I didn't print out a picture and put it in the sleeve, I took Acetone to junk foil rares and rubbed off the ink then adhered a transparency print out of the cards to it. The foil shines through the back like a real card :)

Think you can tell me the brand/type of transparencies you used? I'm really interested in making some of these myself.

I just went to my local fedex and asked for theirs :)

I bought a fake set of the power 9 from a guy who advertises on YouTube. He actually erases the image off the front of the card using acetone (a chemical) and prints the card image (black lotus for example) on the front. So it looks and feels like a real magic card because it is a real magic card. Still pricey at $10.00 a pop but it is the closest thing to the real thing without the slug to your wallet.

If you could help me by walking me through the step by step process in making these. I would be so greatful to you. Forever!

1.) Get a foil card, acetone (or nail polish remover) and a rag and wipe the card free of ink. Be careful around edges because the acetone in the side of the card can get under the foil and make it look bad.

2.) Go to your computer and open up Word (or a similar program) and copy and paste the image into the program. Then, invert the image so the words are backwards. Then make the image 3.48"x2.49". You can fit 6 on the Word page if you also rotate them 90 degrees.

3.) Go to your local fedex with the images on a flash drive and ask to have it printed on transparent paper with the adhesive backing, (if they only have regular transperancies you can use a light spray glue as a decent substitute).

4.) Simply apply the adhesive to the back of the paper or if it's already sticky you don't need to do anything more, and apply the blank foil to the back of the inverted image (making it the correct way) and cut off the excess paper and you're done :)

What does fedex charge?

DylanW18

I didn't use the adhesive ones, and a sheet was $1.97. So $2 for 6 cards

DylanW18

They didn't carry them so I can't say for sure. I'd guess probably $3-$4
