i think a week for what could be 4-5 games is too short. maybe 2-3, i know it will take a while but people dont always have time to play.

Gotta agree with taysby on this one. Huge difference in being competitive vs being a douche.

Unless you've got some seriously major bucks in it your not going to just roll out a combo in edh and protect it just like that. Or else maybe you should have a five turn ceasefire so no one gets offended..

I mean you can have fun while everyone attempts to win. For me playing cards other people dont want me to play is typically what I enjoy.

I like going boom then playing a creature.  No one wants that. But its magic.

I'd like to join if this ever restarts. Also: stop hating on Zur. He's not the end-all be-all of commanders. My Azami deck is easily more powerful than any Zur deck I've ever seen. Not to mention my Rafiq deck or my Ith deck.

My Azami deck can easily be worse if I actually play the competitive version. In my opinion, Oloro is a million times more annoying.

I play against Oloro a lot, and I don't think so. If you have any form of constant life removal he's beatable. Just my opinion. And hey, you are free to make alliances

It only isn't fun if your deck doesn't have an answer.  Edh decks should have every single answer you could want.  And yes, you can get to them.  Black has tutors, blue has draw, and if you chose not to run those colors, just swarm your opponent with your huge green creatures, red burn, or whatever white does.

If I were to ask if {diochan! artful beauty} would be an ok commander! you would would say yes.  Now I say if diochan plus {swift foot boots} would be allowed and seeing the rude combo, without any thought of removal, you would say no.

I would say yes to that.
And no, decks aren't fun if your opponents are complete spikes in EDH, an entirely casual for-fun format.

Because you get your rear end handed to you.  They just make good decks.  And if their deck is a lot better than yours, all of a sudden it isn't fun anymore?

You're going on the assumption I'm outlawing good decks. I'm not. I'm outlawing decks that ruin the fun. They could be the best decks ever, but if they're still fun to play against id be fine with it. If it was a terrible deck but no fun to play against, then id say no. Is that clear? I'm not against good decks, stop saying I'm saying things I'm not saying.

do we really have to have this discussion/argument on this thread? this is for the tournament. I would say you should start another thread about this if you want, but thats just me. up to mishra i guess.
