I'm making pods of 3 at least, not 1v1, and I'm not saying no good decks, I'm saying let it be fun for everyone, and no decks just made to win.

I'm in with {Kaalia of the Vast}. I DO run Iona, but if I draw her I'll exile her and draw again. That alright?
You can cast her, but if you do cast her, you have to name a colour no-one uses. If not possible then just don't name a colour.

What's the point of magic if you don't make decks to win?
Fun... You can win, but don't use a deck made solely to dominate, and ruin the fun...

Is this 1v1 games or multiplayer?

Again with my question, will my combo of {Grimgrin, corpse-born} paired with {Gravecrawler} and {Grave pact} be legal?

No, sorry- I've played it against before and I don't like it at all :(
It's likely 1v1v1

Sounds good. It's what I expected. I only really play it when playing against my spike friend, who thinks EDH is a competitive format.

I get the whole "I make my decks as good as they can be" spike mentality, and there is even a place for it in commander, but it was designed by players as a casual format made for fun (this makes it not ideal for a tournament, but I digress).

For example, I have a sliver deck that won multiplayer games almost 50%, but it ALWAYS won by infinite combo with the same cards, not fun to play with or against. So I took out {basil sliver}, the workhorse of the combos, and now it wins 30% of the time (50% in one on one) but wins with fun unique combat. I weakened it and simultaneously improved it. :)

Vindog

Ill play with the literally just opened precon esper deck with oloro as my commander.

Question: why is zur banned but kaali a isn't they do pretty much the same thing and get the same hate?

Ieatfood7

They do different things. Kalia puts things I to play from your hand. Sure fetches whatever you want. Fetching is super powerful in hundred card singleton.

Vindog

I get that it's just everyone in my meta hates her including me because of that ability is similar but hated the same

xStrayKnightx

Maybe you should only ban what the Wizards have banned in their infinite wisdom, and things like insta-win combos, win conditions, and infinite combos.

Ieatfood7

It's not really the same...it's the difference between {elvish piper} and a reusable {green sun zeneth} (rough similarities, but you see what I mean)

Kaalia is easier to deal with, in my experience.

Could a mod pleas sticky this?
