why would you need to populate? other than elspeth tokens? untapping everything is better in this deck in my opinion.

I agree, {ready // willing} is nasty, and could definitely be a game winner. But if I'm short on creatures and only have a voice token out with advent. I quickly have a a 3/3 token, 5/5 token and another 3/3, pretty much evolve token, or a straight away 5/5 token. Way harder to deal with once it gets going.

Could I please get some votes on whether {rootborn defenses} or {ready // willing} is better in this deck. I love both, but need some VOTES!!!

{Ready // Willing} especially because with the {Sylvan Caryatid} you can cast both sides. {Rootborn Defenses} does give an extra Voice token or Worm token but in Standard MTG its almost impossible to keep a board between removal and board wipes it l likely only survives a few turns. Also, {Ready // Willing} is more versatile as it can untap to block, can gain life and wipe their fatties (if used as a combat trick). Lastly, {Ready // Willing} always gives you its bonuses where as {Rootborn Defenses} only helps you if you have a token.

Yeah, I am starting to agree, I have used {ready // willing} in almost all my decks and did amazing. But I tried {rootborn defenses} , it also did some great things. But when i think about it, there were times I didn't have a token out, but did have creatures and used {rootborn defenses}, I survived that attack, but if I had {ready // willing} it would have went from me losing to me winning huge.
