A decent mana balance

So I've been looking to build a tricolor deck.
And was wondering. If I have 35 spells. Then 7 land of the three colors. And 4 of the Naya fetch lands. Is that enough mana? Or should I add more?

You should DEFINITELY add more. I personally run with a Commander deck having at least 37 mana. I think what you have puts you just over 30, if my math hasn't failed me.

It's not a commander deck...
And it gives me 25 mana including the fetch cards but Im also having green 2 drops that give me double manas

From what it sounds you either have 25 lands or 11. Might be easier to just post a list in the appropriate forum, because your land content depends heavily on which mana symbols out of the 3 are more abundant.

I don't have the deck list quite yet. Just the framework really. But I'm looking to fix It before I mess it up. I usually run 20 mana in my decks.

it all depends on the type of deck and the amount of certain mana symbols in the deck. A great example of this is if you're splashing a color (say R in a UW deck) and you don't want it to come up that often, except in small quantities so that you can cast something like {Magma Jet}.

Go 33% or higher depending on your decks flexibility. If you put too little of land you will end up getting mana screwed

I've seen that happen alot in my friends dimir deck that he tried adding red in but didn't use enough and never got the mana he needed.

the way i do it is separate my colors, count them, and then put half that amount of land s in the deck for each color, EX. if i have 40 red spells, i put in 20 mountains
