GR monsters/ super friends

Ok. So I have a guy at my shop that has monsters built and I can't seem to stop it at all. I run esper control and unless I can constantly keep the board clear it's just over. I did get a chance to play against esper control with RG and it felt like I was cheating the entire time lol. But help please? Lol I almost want to throw in planar cleansing so I can deal with all the planeswalkers

{detention sphere}, {pithing needle}, {heros downfall}

D-sphere only really slows them down a turn as does downfall, atleast when I've played against them.  Pithing needle I'm going to try and see what happens but I do believe in some builds they side destructive rivalry.

I actually play both decks and think esper is weak against monsters but definitely has its chances. A possible answer is negate bit crushes planes walkers for only two mana. Very easy to keep mana open for and deadly against a hand that keeps domri as an accelerator.

I will agree with that. Monsters is my hardest matchup. To me it almost seems like you have to have all your creature and spell hate and have your win con be ætherling hehe. I swear GR monsters cheat lol

Slip in a few  {Sphere of Safety} and  {Blind Obedience} to slow them down. Keep all your creature hate, just remember to use  {Azorius Charm} to set them back a turn after they swing in at you. (Preferably after bloodrush)
