That's a cool category and I'm sure he's done legitimate good...
But for the most part I detest the grammys

Megadeth still is without a win.
For good reason. Everything after Youthanasia is awful.

This, they don't know rock, metal, or anything that is anything resembling "edgy." Iron maiden didn't win before 2011, Metallica lost to Jethro Tull, and Megadeth still is without a win. What a joke.

The nominations this year aren't half bad, although they never will get the rock catergories right.

Yeah, but so are Kendrick and Daft Punk (even though RAM was mediocre). GKMC was AOTY 2012.

Agreed.

It just irks me that they put swift above, say, queens of the stone age. Catering at its slimiest

It reminds me of the list Rolling Stone just came out with for best songs of 2013. In a list where "started from the bottom" is top 10, why should I take anything they say seriously

Just looked at the nominations. HOW THE .love. DO YOU NOT GIVE CLUTCH A NOMINATION. Earth Rocker was the best rock album to come out this year. I do like that Brian Eno got a nom, even though it's in a category that won't be televised.

I don't know why I expected more from the Grammies.

But it wasn't. And Lux was incredibly mediocre compared to Brian Eno's other work.

You mean compared to the other zero albums of his that are eligible for a Grammy this year?

The category is Best New Age album, not Best Brian Eno album. Comparing it to his past works is kind of pointless when we're talking about Grammy nominations.
