So I've really wanted a pack of Divine vs Demonic for ages now and went to have a look for some just now on eBay, Amazon and a few LGS sites ... wowee!!! The cheapest I could find was AU$125! Was it released at these prices or has this just become a demand thin?!?!

As far as chains like Walmart and Target, it would be a small miracle if you found it there for MSRP. I wish you luck on your search for DvD, there are some really great cards in those decks, hence the high price tag.

How much are Urza's Packs going for?

I picked one up a year in a half to two years ago for $70. The other two expensive duel decks are goblins vs elves and jace vs Chandra. If you can find any of them for under a $100 your doing good. I'm still on my search for a ftv dragons and it keeps going up

Out of curiosity's sake, when you fun price per pack out, any chance you could get a price on a box?  Probably wouldn't buy one, but I'm interested to see what the cost of one would be haha.
