Making a new deck   what are some good cards for a izzet control deck?

If you're not looking to build a standard legal deck, then may I recommend {Electrolyze}, {Prophetic Bolt}, or {Epic Experiment} for flavor's sake? Also {Swerve}, a personal favorite with random, surprising utility.
