They could think that but still be cold to her-- You don't need an absence of logic or reason for not liking something to be rude. All I'm saying and anyways, she's leaving. Doesn't really matter if she calls people a prick, and they should miss her. She made the forums more fun.

I hope you decide to stay. You, like everyone else on this forum, bring with you something unique that shapes this app into what it is and you take it with you when you leave. If I or anyone else has said or done something that has annoyed you or made you uncomfortable, sorry; don't take things seriously, most people act stupid online because they are anonymous. First of all, this was not a "blatant grab for attention" or "dramatic" or whatever have you. This post was no different from someone coming in new and saying "Hi, my name is Sara and I like eggs (<-----pun for Mlearner!)" or "I'd like to introduce myself, I'm from the West Coast and I'm an Art student at UCLA that loves EDH (<------this one was for Gorzo!)". This post was me letting people that I care about know that I'm taking a leave of absence, and now I feel terrible because they've wrecked their Karma for my sake.

Secondly, you're all right. Karma is yours to give and take as you see fit. Just like a teacher has the power to give good or bad grades, you can give good or bad Karma. And just like a teacher, you can tell your "students" (fellow iMTGers) day in and day out that "the grades don't matter, don't worry so much about the grades, it's the material and learning that matters". But some of us take pride in our graded Karma, and it DOES hurt when, for seemingly no reason, it's taken away.

Nevertheless, I do apologize for those involved that lost anything from this thread. And yes, that second post of mine was supposed to be taken in a halfway joking manner. Next time I'll make sure to use my "Sarcasm" font.

I'm really surprised by most of the comments on this thread. If it was literally any other person, you'd all be saying "karma is just a number, get over it." Why is this situation any different?

As I said before. There's a way to hide people. If you feel the need to leave anyway, then cool. It's ufortunate that that's what it came to but so it goes. Calling people pricks isn't going to help people be less snarky towards you if you do eventually start posting again.

I have to disagree. This is nothing like an intro post. It came off as essentially what some would call a "hairflip". After seeing your OP I checked your comment log to look for the "smart alec" comments you referenced and all I found was constructive feedback (some positive some negative), this all seems rather dramatic for what it is.
