He buys pretty pricey ones. I know he gets them from a card shop here in Ohio where the manager has guys that go to big events where there may be a P9 card that he needs. I mean I would still buy a worn {Ancestrial Recall} for $50 if I had it, just to say I have one :p

I got it from a buddy probably 2 years ago, in a trade for some mechanical work to his cars. It's also how I got my beta {Tundra}. He's been playing forever, he's got all the power 9 and then some. My collection is pitiful compared to his.

His father owned a comic shop, when he heard about Magic the Gathering he was super excited and started playing and collecting ASAP. He had a kid, started selling off his collection to get some things. He offered to let me exchange some labor for some of the cards I wanted.

Working for cards you need is pretty sweet. Do you ever intend to get more of the p9?

Ah, I should look at the ban list of cards in certain formats. The guys I play with all just play casual as a group, so other than only allowing 1 of each of any p9 card we don't care what card is played (within reason... ie. {mox lotus}/ un sets)

That's still pretty impressive. If I would get and I'd get the green mox, just because I mainly play green decks. How and when did you get it?

I'm a bit confused on what you mean.

You buy a booster pack and trade up in value until you can trade for a power nine. It's a long but exciting thing to take on.

I'd like to see how many and which cards are involved in an example of that process actually working.

I assume that the chain of trades is always 1 card for one card?
