I would appreciate suggestions for this deck I'm building for modern format.

I've started building a red aggro deck for a local modern tournament that coming up. I'm wondering if I should splash some green into the deck. So far I have 4  {Ball Lightning} 4  {Ash Zealot} 4  {Lightning Bolt} 4  {Lightning Strike} 3  {Vexing Devil} 1  {Reverberate} 4 {Pyretic Ritual} maybe some    For the green I was thinking about some {Giant Growth} perhaps  {Burning-Tree Emissary} 4 {Strangleroot Geist} maybe {Domri Rade} ?? 4  {Birds of Paradise}  {Ghor-Clan Rampager} just for the blood rush ability?? I'd appreciate any advice, thanks for helping me brainstorm. no not that  {Brainstorm}

 {Assault Strobe} can be fun but might not be a good card for modern since it is only a sorcery

No, its like how {Storm Crow} is better than meets the eye, so is {Searing Spear}...

That and {Searing Spear} has epic FNM promos

I would actually recommend splashing white and/or black to open up to better main board and SB options. Eg {bump in the night} {boros charm} and {lighting helix}

Also what's the meta like?

people are playing affinity, blue/white/red control and I saw some eldrazi decks as well, maybe soul sisters

THIS is the way to go if you want to play modern burn. Gruul zoo is also a thing, but a very different deck.

I've seen a lot of people play Mainly red splash white and it does excellent, soooo good with {lightning helix}, {Boros Reckoner}.
Only thing that sucks is when the other person sideboards in a  {Leyline of Sanctity} against you....

And {goblin guide} is boss!
Plus I've seen them play {teetering peeks}
