Flanking was introduced in mirage, which I think was 98. Horsemanship was introduced in Portal, which I think was 99. So not exactly new...

And banding? I found that very easy to understand... Idk what the commotion about it was...

I don't know!  I just could never get it.  Especially in the Ice Age cycle.. I was lost!  There was way too much of it there, I noticed.

Speaking of Portal, I only literally played it once, when I learned how to play.

I didn't care for Mirage all that much so I didn't really play it.

Personally, I wish there was a sweeper other than supreme verdict. Being locked into UW for the best answer to {{Pack Rats}} and {{Master of Waves}} is annoying. (I suppose there is {{Anger of the Gods}}, but that doesn't hit master and pack rat can race it. And {{ratchet bomb}} is an lolnope). God what I wouldn't give to see {{Wrath of God}} reprinted.

Two things.

1. I agree with you, and kinda wish {Toxic Deluge} was standard.
2. They need to reprint {Wrath of God} and {Damnation} so I can make a WB control deck named "God Damn it!"
