Boros Charm Vs. Planeswalker

so normally it's cool to burn a plainswalker with a typical "deal damage to target player or creature" spell and a lot of people don't usually think much about the process that it goes through to do that.
since a plainswalker isn't a creature it's a player, and since when you use "" said spells your choosing to deal damage to a "player" and redirecting that do the plainswalker

if i'm not mistaken

this leads me to my question
{boros charm} can deal four damage to a player, can i redirect that to a plainswalker?

Yes.

306.7. If noncombat damage would be dealt to a player by a source controlled by an opponent, that opponent may have that source deal that damage to a planeswalker the first player controls instead. This is a redirection effect (see rule 614.9) and is subject to the normal rules for ordering replacement effects (see rule 616). The opponent chooses whether to redirect the damage as the redirection effect is applied.
