I wonder what wizards would set the price at instead of the secondary market....

Wouldn't make any difference, just like ftv:20 msrp $39.95 selling for at least $100

However, just think if wizards put outa decree that stores couldn't sell their products if they marked it up more than 10%...
I use SCG as a last resort to buy stuff from, simply because they are so overpriced

Really value is all speculation. That guy was happy to make his money at his store and hopefully for him you encourage business there.

Our LGS uses an iPad as thier POS purchase system, so they look up every card on the iPad and add up the price that way. I have told the shop in Noah's parent's town when they have cards like daybreak coronets and original æther vials just collecting dust in old binders. I feel like it is each individual shop owners responsibility to know or have a way to access they value of cards, it's just part of the business!

Most game shops have no problem jacking the price on sealed product...

Not to mention you are the consumer. You always should pay the lowest possible price when purchasing from a retailer, which you did. It's not like you stumbled across someone who had a priceless piece of art and then ripped them off.

I went to a comic book store today that I know doesn't update their magic binder prices. I got there and bought:

1 {Daybreak Coronet} for $12 instead of $20
1 {Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx} for $8 instead of $15
3 {Nightveil Specter} for $1 each instead of $6 each
And a Dissention {Blood Crypt} for $9 instead of $13

The owner is really nice but I had to buy those right? Or should I have told him

Is the Coronet for trade?  :P
