Magic 2013: what can replace a Titan?

Mill Titan would be cool but mill needs some better cheap spells like {hedron crab}....mill has plenty of good expensive CMC spells

No no no no. No no I hope you burn in hell for sugesting this. I hate Mill hate it with a passion. I saw someone dressed as jace at pax east and had to be restrained from punching him. (I hope you don't really burn in hell).

it's okay, i'm sure you didn't really need to be restrained either.

A mill titan would be too underpowered. Too niche. 5 cards a turn, deadly in a mill deck sure, but most of the Titans can stand on their own in almost any deck of their color.

Sunny was really the only one that needed a little consideration.  But really, who's playing white and doesn't have CMC < 3 stuff to return?

I think the idea is good, a cycle of color-aligned fatties with splashy effects would be nice to see.  Many of us just want a break from Sunny-D and the boys.

I would love to see something more unique, like the elemental incarnations from Lorwyn for example.

Not saying they should reprint these 5 in place of the titans (though I personally would enjoy them) but I am hoping they step back and do something a little different like they did with these guys.

I know, but {Xathrid Gorgon} was spoiled in DotP 2013, not Planechase.

True.  Planechase cards won't be legal in Standard, tho.  I'm pretty sure cards spoiled in DotP will show up either in M13 or RtR.

funny you say that, ive been fantasising about a green Titan type for a while now. "Steroid Titan: trample. when enters or attacks, put 4 +1/+1 counters divided among any number of creatures on the battlefield." There's probs one already like it, but I'm heaps keen for one for my counters EDH deck.
