If I'm reading this correctly, if you pay x as 10, or any number, but do not kick it at least once, nothing happens?

Was linked in another thread and didn't want to add it on but was interested.

The way I'm reading it, it you don't kick, it only effects one creature. I could be wrong though

No, if you don't kick it you choose a creature and X +1/+1 counters on it.

"Choose target creature, then choose another target creature for each time Strength of the Tajuru was kicked. Put X +1/+1 counters on each of them. "

If you play it without the kicker it targets just one creature. If you kick it then you get to as additional targets.

Hmm, if I drew this card late game I would have to do the math to see what mana I would have to pay and then kick to get the most counters lol.
