What are you guys' thoughts on Miracle as a mechanic? Do you think people will cheat with it?

I like the sense of excitement it would build. Also, top decking on turn one and do 5 damage? Lolwut
No more than people might have cheated with {Delver of Secrets}.
Also, it'd have to be second turn because you'd need a land in play.

Jake, Fart Sculptor

Impretty sure you could play it on turn one as long as you can prove it was the card you drew. The ability says "you may cast this card" not "as you draw"

The exact wording:
Thunderous Wrath - 4RR, Instant, Thunderous Wrath deals 5 damage to target creature or player. Miracle R (You may cast this card for its Miracle cost when you draw it if it's the first card you drew this turn)

~Sorry, Fart Sculptor

So would you just set your 1st card drawn on your turn to the side so you can keep it on the up and up?

No.  During your draw step, when you draw your first card for the turn, and it's a Miracle card, you may reveal it pay the Miracle cost, and put it on the stack.  If you don't cast it when this triggers, it goes to your hand and you can no longer cast it for it's miracle cost.
You can only cast if for cheap right when you draw it, at no other time.

Ohhh so you can cast it on any turn so long as it is the first card you draw and you have the mana to cast it.  That is not too bad.

I personally think that it's awesome!!

Thank you for the correction bj, and I gotta say this set looks pretty cool, at least the first couple of cards do, lol. The one thing I noticed that has me bugging is that it looks like there may be a lack of planeswalkers according to the pack art. I may be wrong, but PWs usually show up on pack art, and aside from the devil looking dude in an old suit (not the grislebrand one) the others don't look very "PWish" to me.

BlackJester

I've heard there are three this set.

Yeah, I heard that one is this U/R guy who's in the comics, Dack Fayden!

Jake, Fart Sculptor

But aren't they usually on the booster pack art?!!!

Sometimes they like to keep them under wraps.
