Hey fellow Washingtonian! I'm over here in Walla Walla. Not to rain on your parade (surely you get enough rain over there) but Richard Garriott was working as a professor here at Whitman College when he finished his game and saw it released in 93. I supposed the game gestated in Pennsylvania and grew up in Seattle but, my friend, I say it was born in Walla Walla 😉.
