What about lands? Can we use non basics like dual lands if they don't mention our tribe?
Lands are fair game. I said you can't use SPELLS unless they mention your tribe.

To others, the reason you can only use spells with your tribe in the rules text is that I thought it would make a more interesting tournament, instead of worrying about removal and counters. The game is for fun and the tournament is just casual; if you want to play, play, if not, its your choice.

I like what Agrus has set up. Where the card has to mention your creature type. It makes it interesting and fun. Also you can switch out of squirrels if you'd like.

Langku

😈 I call shapeshifter. Changeling= "This creature is all creature types".

Sorry, shapeshift is already been called. Changeling is still available if you want it though..

I like the tournament idea, but if you are relying solely on creatures and the spells directly attached to them, slivers will take first and dragons/elves will likely take 2nd.
You might be suprised...angels have {Avacyn, Angel of Hope} and {Herald of War} to drop stuff fast, Goblins have {Goblin Grenade} and a few lords, Wizards and Merfolk have some fun countering and a lot of the creature types have a lot of lords so they will also get big. Each creature type has interesting advantages and will make the tournament interesting.

There's no changeling type. It's an ability!

True, I spoke out of place.
I did forget goblins as they have a habit of zergling rushing for the win.
I would be truly surprised if avacyn makes play without cast assistance.

Not running avy, so expensive, trying to stay low on cmc.  One question though.  {angelic wall} is not an angel, will you allow it?

Vampires have a chance of 2nd or 3rd!

I just realised some thing zombies have an infinite combo in this tribal tournament!!!

The one with  {Gravecrawler},  {Grimgrin, Corpse-Born},  {Rooftop Storm},  {Diregraf Captain}
So they could get first as we don't have removal or counters

What do people think? Should we allow a card if it has the name of your tribe in the name?
