The fact i can change it at instant speed is nice too... I think that was the other thing i was thinking about.

{Detention sphere} can handle most bombs really nicely, atleast for a bit.

Why don't you run {Curse of the Swine} according to you...  Isn't it better? (Sarcasm)

It's situational, like most cards. If I'm playing weenies, it'd make more sense to play def sphere. If I'm playing midrange creatures, I can just use swine curse.

What if I need to hit 2 creatures with different names? Lol.

But in the UW control u still said swine was better

Det sphere fits this deck's curve better. Besides, this deck would have problems dealing with the resulting swine.

But it is easier to deal with in a control deck?  In control decks you need to wipe the field, not leave more attackers and effectively 2 for 1 yourself.  Does this deck not have just as many answers?  Magma jet, all the charms...  Just as many answers as a control deck it seems to me.  And You said that you have to manage ur mana effectively by casting it for 3 and getting rid of their biggest threat.  That sounds like the same curve as Detention Sphere.

You played standard pre-rotation, right? Jund played all those different value cards. Swine Curse can reduce multiple threats where detention sphere can only hit 1 threat at a time

If you are casting Curse for 5-6 you could have dealt with those creatures in many other ways.  I have been playing standard for 3 rotations btw, I know all the decks played.  And they are dealt with, not reduced.  I can guarantee you Curse does not even see fringe play at a competitive level.  It isn't a terrible card and it is fun to use at FNM, it just depends where the deck creator wants to go with the deck.

Medomai!!!! And maybe a {Runechanters Pike}?

Estel2931

Ruinchanter is rotating out (i believe) and Im not a huge fan of Medomai... His ability is good but 7 mana for just a body on his first turn is meh... In reality i actually have considered putting Aurelia in here

I think no Aurelia, but a {Aurelia's Fury} or a few. And {Silence} and {Elitr Arcanist}- great combo!

Estel2931

A-Fury wouldnt be too bad... I like aurelia for her ability...the other combo you mentioned, im not a huge fan of

Why? It's a real pain to play against!

Estel2931

It would just take up too much space in the deck... I want to try and keep it like this asmuch as i can... I mean i gotta play test it yet and make tweaks to it, but i dont want to redo everything.

Makes sense. Still, maybe some sideboard tweaking for mill? That was a reoccurring problem for me... Until I ran mill... But maybe sideboard in some {Psychic Spiral}?

Estel2931

I dont like mill though haha...thats not my win con

Mlerner12

It's not, but if you go AGAINST mill, they'll mill you down a bunch, then you {Psychic Spiral} to save yourself, and it gives them a REALLY slim chance of winning, trust me. It's really more protection than anything.

Estel2931

People dont use mill decks where i am...

Mlerner12

Eh, just in case. It helps to be prepared for ANYTHING!
