Explain your reasoning behind {silence} please. Would you be happy drawing late in the game as well as early?

Wont work with nivix cyclops in it cause of low number of instants and sorceries and you should use scry lands as opposed to guildgates

Agreed. Also, I suggest you try some {Chandra, Pyromaster}. She's amazing. 0 to draw a card any day.

My reasoning is if someone casts, say, {Garruk, Caller of Beasts} and i counter it with {Counterflux} if i dont have {Render Silent} in my hand, then i can {Silence} him then his turn is basically over.

My reasoning is if someone casts, say, {Garruk, Caller of Beasts} and i counter it with {Counterflux} if i dont have {Render Silent} in my hand, then i can {Silence} him then his turn is basically over.
That way you lose a bunch of card advantage just to stop them from casting something with what little mana they have left (something ehich is unlikely).

{Silence} is used in combo decks or grindy Extort matches. In any other deck, it's waste of a card slot

Agreed. I'd much rather have a cantrip like  {Quicken} in here rather than silence.

Agreed. I'd much rather have a cantrip like  {Quicken} in here rather than silence.
There are not enough sorceries to justify {Quicken}

For me personally that's a lot of 3 cmc counter spells. Have you considered omen speaker?  helps with card advantage. I also would recommend 3 sphinx instead of 2. When I did American control when innistrad was legal I hardly saw them. I will agree that supreme verdic should be main board as well. I would even toss in warleader's helix as well. Just my thoughts

{Omenspeaker} gives you no card advantage.

Sets up your draws and allows you to shift through your deck a little. Better than a blind draw.
