{Hero's Downfall}

Figured I'd just play dreadbore to keep my Avg CMC low. If I have 3 mana, I'd prolly just counter spell or something

Needs some suggestions Q.Q

What about {Jace, Architect of thought} helps you get to answers, can stall early weenies, and ultimate can get out if control.

Coffee Vampire

I do not like {Young Pyromancer} in this deck. The 0-2 tokens you get from it won't matter most games. And with {Anger of the Gods}, it just seems odd. {Duskmantle Seer} also seems outnof place in a control build, especially with all the 4/5 drops you have. I would add more spot removal ({Hero's Downfall} is neccesary!) to stop problematic permanents, as well as add more counterspells. Keep {Rakdos's Return} down to 1-2 copies, because it doesn't affect decks that have no hand by the time you can cast it for x=3. Consider {Ætherling} as a 1-of. As for sideboarding, {Dispel} is good against cotrol. And guess what? You have access to {Counterflux}, a control player's nightmare! Good luck with building the deck!

Running young pyro cuz it makes for a great time buyer when you have 21 spells.

The plan behind this deck is to clear the field of threats each turn or counter them the turn before. I find that Anger of the Gids get the job done 1/2 the time. When it doesn't, I can just kill spell.

Trying to work in jace architect still

Counter flux will definitely be in the side.

Was thinking to replace 1-2 rakdos return with thoughtseize

I've been testing this out, mostly because grixis is my fav 3 color deck. I have to agree that young pyromancer feels weird here, yes he gets you bodies sometimes but if you go t2 pyromancer then they attack (obv you won't block because why else would you play pyromancer?) then they play a reasonable threat, then you just have to anger of the gods them. It just feel weird. But I will say that I LOOOOOOOVE duskmantle seer in here. It's just perfect. You're cards don't cost too much (so you don't have to worry about death by own creature) and HE SURVIVES YOURE OWN ANGER OF THE GODS. I like it a lot. Plus a 4/4 flyer is always good to do the beats too.

That was the idea. Helps me dig, burns opponent, and tosses me a spell for 2life most of the time. Thassa's in there to help me avoid burning to death and help utilize Chandra more effectively

If you were to add {omen speaker}s, what would you cut?

JordanCirk

I don't even know if you need the  {Omenspeaker} tbh. Omen (IMO) is there for the esper & U/W control decks tht don't have a nice wrath t3 like you do (Anger of the gods) and have to wait another turn (which can really change a lot of things) have you though about  {Steam Augury} at all? The card seems pretty good. Don't know what I would take out though, maybe an ultimate price/izzet charm, but it just depends how much you like those cards
