Actually, you can. {Emrakul} has protection from coloured spells, yes. But {Oblivion Ring}'s ability triggers only once it enters the battlefield, i.e. It resolves as a spell and is now a permanent. It can thus target {Emrakul}.

You can {journey to nowhere} emrakul as well oring is just better since it hits artifacts, enchants and walkers as well as creatures.

T1-Island, {Sol Ring}, {Memnite}
T2-Island, {Arcum Daggson}
T3-Sac {Memnite} with {Arcum Daggson} and search for {Gleemax}

Storm Cheerios into grapeshot then play ashnod's alter then sac your creatures hard cast emrakul just in case, then main board one angels grace since you might use a summoner's pact in the process, side board in a few leyline of anticipation and go off on their turn

Got it so you can drop  {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn} on turn 1 if you draw

T1: {swamp} and {lotus petal} x2

Tap {swamp} for 1 b, play {dark ritual}.

Use 1 from the {dark ritual} to play second {dark ritual}, giving you 5

Sacrifice both {lotus petal} to give total of 7

Play {deathrender} and {bile urchin} or other one cast free sac critter. Leaving you with 2.

Equip {deathrender} to {bile urchin} then sacrifice the {bile urchin}.

Use {deathrender} ability to drop
{Emrakul, the Aeons Torn} and free equip {deathrender} to it.

T2: swing at opponant, who has to then sac a lot of permanents

Another good thing is this setup is a beastie on a stick, you can pop it off at the end of their turn if you like to give them a 17 hp surprise kick to the teeth.

Edit: my mistake... 18 hp.. and as {oblivion ring} can only be played on one of their main phases... They would not have enough land left to play it when their turn comes around again
