I know I'm in the minority but I have been frothing for a return to Kamigawa for years! More Rats! More Snakes! MoreDragons in EVERY colour! Cool equips! MOONFOLK!!!

ive been making noise on here about a return to kamigawa. I think the initial reaction from players would inevitably be groaning. At least the ones that were playing at that time. Then they would probably be in awe because of the awesome job they did on the set learning from last time...of course, it was so nerfy because of Mirridon

Kawigama stunk folks. Mirrodin was broken, Kawigama was lifeless. They'd have to create a new plane and then do top down Japanese mythology on it - a Return to Kawigama would be a death sentence for the years Magic sales.

I wouldn't say so entirely. All legendary creatures, splice onto arcane (arcane cards only existed within the block), and too much boring flavor. It just wasnt interesting as well as being underpowered.

They tried horror again on Innistrad, Homelands was the first horror plane and it wasnt top down: it's also the worst set ever. Japanese mythology could work - but I don't think Kawigama is getting it done.

It's not enough to base an entire argument on, but I'm not sure they would have made {Tamiyo, the Moon Sage} without wanting to entice us to the fact...

Even if it was to test the waters of people's opinion on returning.

Were not going to have two topdown sets in a row. We will most likely return to zendikar because it would be the perfect time to bring back fetch lands

if {darksteel garrison} is in the next block, I would say Mirridon. Because the only world the world darksteel is used in is Mirridon

Kamigawa has been talked about a lot on Blogatog and right now it sounds like we will only see a Return to Kamigawa if it were being destroyed/taken over by the Phyrexians, the Eldrazi or Nicol Bolas. Kamigawa was a great and flavorful set, with some work and a little less legendaries, we might see a Return to Kamigawa in the near future. That being said, a Return to Kamigawa is unlikely within the few years because they would only make it if they were 100% sure that it would work AMAZINGLY, two top-down sets so close probably won't happen and they will want to try almost everything else out first.

Most likely is a return to Zendikar or a Return to Llorywn at this point. Mirrodin was just a few years ago which would make Magic look like they are running out of ideas. Llorywn was very tribal which is always fun and Zendikar was land matters which is another fan favorite. I personally would LOVE a Return to any of the three.
